Im getting a pitbull and i want to know why they have such a bad rap ?

Pits are very strong and most of all they won't take bull sh*t(why everyone says there aggressive). Everyone wants a breed that will let children pull on their ears and tails. Well I am sorry, but pits won't put up with that out of people or dogs. I have a dog who is half pit and she has never bit anyone. At the same time though I tell everyone don't think you can let your kid in my yard acting foolish. They score a 83 or 85 on the temp test, that beats a lot of popular breeds by far. If golden retrievers where aggressive and bred to fight they would get a bad rep also. Don't listen to all the hype, remember to nature your dog(my dog is a big spoiled baby) and they will be the sweetest thing ever. Most of all don't ever hit a dog, people who hit their dogs will get bit. I have seen it happen a LOT with people who hit their dogs.
