Piercing/Kissing Help?

Well, I have the right side of my lip pierced. My "Friend with benefits" has the left side of his lip pierced, what I want to know if this would make anything awkward when we kiss? I just recently got mine done and want to know if it'll be weird/problematic since the piercings would be touching often.
